Our office benefits from an ideal geographical location between Linz and Munich: right near the exit for the Tauern motorway in Puch bei Hallein and is based at the Techno-Z Wissenspark in Salzburg-Urstein.

History

1991

Founding of blu donau projects OEG by Wolfgang Kofler, Helmut Reiter and Herbert Aigner – first office location in Traun

1992

First client Entholzer Fenster for the Energiesparmesse - Energy Saving Fair in Wels - our first freelancer was: Siegfried Miedl – then as an architecture student, still part of blu donau today - small and medium-sized orders from Austrian companies at local trade fairs and in Germany

1996

Foundation of blu donau projects messe konzepte GmbH. Implementation of large international projects for Austrian and German companies.

The Energiesparmesse Energy Saving Fair in Wels was a “hotspot” with seven projects being completed at once.

2005

Paul Saatmann has been part of blu donau since 2005 and has played a key role in its further development.

2013

Winner of the Gold Caesar Advertising Award

The Advertising and Market Communication Section of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce once again put the spotlight on the country’s best creative achievements with the Caesar Advertising Award.

8 employees, based at the Hofmühle in Traun. Expansion of the business areas with classic interior design orders: Redesign of bank branches, exhibition spaces and product presentations

Wolfgang Kreutzer - trade fair professional through and through complements the project management team with his over 30 years’ expertise and know-how in the trade fair business. Karin Scharl joined our Business Development division in 2017.

blu donau becomes part of the ADM Group – well-known customers, such as Maco, Silhouette and LASKA, make up our regular customer base. Wolfgang Kreutzer becomes an authorised signatory and takes over the site management in Linz. Paul Saatmann continues to show his loyalty to blu donau as an integral part of the project management and customer service teams. Martina Allerstorfer joins the blu donau atelier damböck team as a further trade fair professional.

Membership of the international industry association IFES.

GOLD for Exhibition Stand at the Austrian Event Award! Our exhibition stand, covering an area of 255 m², was awarded a prize! Here, visitors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Silhouette and experience the theme of "limitless lightness" up close.

In 2023, we moved to a larger office within the Tabakfabrik. The new premises offer a variety of opportunities for creative work and collaborative exchange. With quiet workspaces and cozy seating areas, we create a pleasant atmosphere for our employees.

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new facility in Salzburg! Strategically located between Munich and Linz, this site offers optimal accessibility for our customers and partners.

Another award at the Austrian Event Award! Bronze prize for the trade fair project by W&H. The absolute highlight of the exhibition stand was its open, modern, and innovative design with a striking black exterior. Additionally, our medical technology company made its debut with a climate-neutral exhibition stand, setting a strong example for active climate protection.
